Mindfulness is practicing moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and our surrounding environment with curiosity, kindness, and self-compassion. It is about developing the ability to be fully attentive to all of the moments of your life, reducing the amount of time you spend worrying about the future or fretting about the past.
Mindfulness is best strengthened by establishing a regular meditation practice. This practice invites us to slow down, breathe and observe our inner experience. Practicing mindfulness can give you the tools you need to stay in the present, remain focused and reduce distracting stressors and negative thoughts.
Through the Center for Wellness and Health Promotion (CWHP) and Counseling and Mental Health Services (CAMHS), we invite you to sample a variety of our mindfulness and meditation offerings that can support you in exploring and developing a regular practice, allowing you to live with more presence, clarity, and ease.
