Mignone Field

In September of 2016, Harvard athletics unveiled Roberto A. Mignone Field as the new home of the men's club and women's varsity rugby teams, as well as the HBS Rugby Football Club. Previously the site of Jordan Field and home of the Harvard Field Hockey program, Mignone Field hosted its first women’s varsity rugby match against Brown September 23, 2016. During the renovation process, Mignone Field was updated to meet World Rugby field certification standards. A new synthetic infill Fieldturf surface along with goal posts, team areas and perimeter safety netting was installed. The field also features an elevated press box, lights and offers seating capacity for up to 900 fans in permanent bleachers. The Fieldturf surface measures 114 meters by 168 meters. Mignone Field was made possible by the generous support of Roberto A. Mignone ’92, MBA ’96 and his wife Allison Hughes ’94, MBA ’99. The Mignones have been loyal supporters of both the College and Harvard Business School. Roberto was a four-year member and officer of the undergraduate men's Harvard Rugby Football Club. Allison has served as co-chair of the Class of 1994 Reunion Gift Committee and is a member of both the NY Major Gifts Committee and the NY Campaign Committee.
