We are excited to invite you to Winthrop House’s second Art+Feminism  Wikipedia Edit-a-thon in honor of International Women’s Day on Sunday, March 3rd! Pizza + snacks + update Wikipedia entries on subjects related to gender, art, and feminism.

Did you know?

In a 2011 survey 2010 UNU-MERIT Survey, the Wikimedia Foundation found that less than 10% of its contributors identify as female; more recent research 2013 Benjamin Mako Hill survey points to 16% globally and 22% in the United States. The data relative to trans and non-binary editors is basically non-existent. We’d like to contribute to changing these figures!

Join us for as long as you’d like during our drop-in hours next Sunday from 5-8 pm in the Senior Common Room. Together we will enjoy pizza and delicious snacks and update Wikipedia entries on subjects related to gender, art, and feminism. Beginner? No problem! Most of us are as well. Just be sure to bring a charged laptop, we will provide tutorials for beginner Wikipedians, reference materials, and more.
