This course runs from Tuesday, January 16 to Friday, January 19, 10-4 daily, and will include field trips to a local museum and Harvard’s Weissman Preservation Center.

We will be collaboratively curating an exhibit titled, The Capitalist Machine: Does the Money Make the Music? This experience isn't just about examining historical artifacts; it's about honing skills crucial for exhibit curation, graphic design, and critical thinking with objects.

Uncover the stories behind contracts, promotional materials, and tickets found in the Loeb Music Library collections. We’ll be selecting and handling items, writing labels, and learning about object conservation at the Weissman Preservation Center. After our four days together, we’ll open our newly designed exhibition to the public in the Loeb Music Library.

This hands-on learning experience invites writers, designers, thinkers, readers, and aspiring curators to explore the intricate relationship between money and music. Let's decode the narrative of money in music and learn vital museum skills together.
