On behalf of the HBS Black Investment Club, we are excited to announce our inaugural conference: Investing In Equity

In 2020, we saw corporations pledge to create equity.

During our inaugural conference, we hope to answer the question of-- How do we meaningfully, sustainably, and holistically invest in equity? How do we move from marketing to impact?

We will bring in industry veterans and allies to discuss topics such as building generational wealth in the Black community, responsible innovation in venture capital, the intersection of culture and finance, and building an investment fund. We will highlight leaders creating change for black communities and blazing new paths for black investors--with the goal to create a legacy for black investors at HBS and beyond.

Our conference keynote speakers include Ursula Burns (Founding Partner, Integrum Holdings), Kenneth I. Chenault  (Chairman & Managing Director, General Catalyst), and Seth Klarman (CEO & Portfolio Manager, The Baupost Group). 

Panelists include David J. Grain, Martin Nesbitt, Saron Tesfalul, Greg Shell, Brooke Jones, Denielle Pemberton-Heard, Yoan Dipita N'Komba, Alison Rapaport Stillman, CFA, Sherrese Clarke Soares, Elise Smith and Willie Woods.

We will be inviting industry professionals, sponsors, students, and faculty, and will provide networking opportunities for attendees, sponsors and speakers.

The conference weekend will include networking dinners and functions with sponsors and students.
