About this Event
This course is an intensive study of Shakespeare's dramatic works from the point of view of the actor. It is important to remember that Shakespeare's verse dramas were written to be performed and that only when they are approached this way - as playable, theatrical texts - that they have their maximum impact. Through text analysis, scene study, vocal work, and acting exercises we attempt to find not only the meaning, but the music and theatrical power of Shakespeare's words.

Shopping Week
Friday January 15 at 12-2pm ET
Tuesday January 19 at 3-5:45pm ET
The class will have a limited enrollment of 12 to be determined through individual, short meetings with me. We will have a couple of info sessions during Shopping Period, one on Friday, 1/15 from Noon to 2PM (Eastern Time) and one on Tuesday, 1/19 from 3 to 5 PM (Eastern Time). (If neither of these times work for you, by all means get in touch with me at the email below to schedule another time). Please try to come at the beginning of the session, when I will quickly talk about the class, assign everyone a time slot to meet with me and break out into individual meetings. During our individual meeting, I'll be glad to answer any additional questions you may have about the course and will also ask you to read a monologue. There is no need to memorize anything in advance--- though if you know a Shakespeare monologue by heart, I'll be glad to hear it!!
