About this Event
The Center for Bioethics at Harvard Medical School is pleased to offer a virtual Surgical Ethics Conference over four weeks in June. Each week will feature a different topic that will explore timely and controversial questions in surgery today. Complete one registration to attend all four sessions.
Using a case presentation, the June 13 session debates the proposition that surgical reconstruction of an infant with atypical genitalia is ethically justified. In addition, there will be a discussion of the ethical considerations in establishing a (trans-) gender-affirming surgical center within a children’s hospital.
