Averting locking in the worst consequences of climate change will require the United States to both decarbonize at home and support the world in doing the same. This week, we'll focus on how to sync up domestic policy approaches—like the Inflation Reduction Act and new regulations—and foreign policy approaches—like global diplomacy around emissions, critical minerals, and climate finance—to secure our planet's future. What has worked and what hasn't when it comes to making real progress, both at home and in the world?

GUEST: Monica Dean, Former Senior Expert Advisor to the Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, Department of State, will join Resident Fellow Brett Rosenberg virtually for the October 17 session.
