Are Stories Good (for You)?
English departments teach them. Startups spin them. But are more stories always the solution? New Yorker writer Parul Sehgal ("The Case Against the Trauma Plot")
will speak on the uses and abuses of stories in our culture. She will be joined by James Wood (How Fiction Works), who has written about the resurgence of storytelling in contemporary fiction. The event will include ample room for discussion, so please come armed with your own thoughts and questions about this urgent topic.
These events are free & open to the public.
