A lecture by Andrea Graziosi, Jacyk Distinguished Fellow at HURI and Professor Emeritus of Modern History, Università di Napoli Federico II, Italy

After 1989-1991, Europe witnessed the emergence of several new states, particularly in the territories of the former Yugoslavia and the USSR. In this lecture, historian Andrea Graziosi will examine the various strategies of state legitimization employed in Ukraine, Russia, and the European Union, taking into account legacies of the past and exploring the impact of the ongoing war.
