About this Event
Alyssia Wiesenbauer ’26 will explore the relationship between art and the natural world on this tour that takes you from a depiction of grandeur in the galleries to a living organism outside. The stops on the tour are the painting Rocky Mountains, “Lander’s Peak” (1863) by Albert Bierstadt, Study of Trees (c. 1904) by Paul Cézanne, and a swamp white oak near the museums’ entrance.
Spotlight Tours offer a chance to explore the collections of the Harvard Art Museums through the eyes of a Harvard student. Free and open to the public, these tours start outside the museum shop on Saturdays and Sundays at 11am and 2pm. Drop in and join the conversation!
