About this Event
You’re invited to Reflections, a conversation and installation at the Harvard Dance Center in collaboration with students and faculty from the Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD). The evening will provide a holistic reflection and critical response of the art works and events that took place over a four-day series commemorating International Day of Persons with Disabilities, on December 1-4, 2022, curated by GSD students and Kenzo Tange Pavilion Curators (snobs._).
From a panel discussion on art, dance, and design; to an interactive public art sculpture; to a world-wide movement installation; to a choral performance– each event and work took its own approach in challenging notions of normativity with a focus on disability justice, art, and aesthetics. All this is captured in a short film that will be shown at the beginning of the evening.
Reflections invites the community and the partners, collaborators, and artists involved for conversation and critical response, led by Andrew Holder, Associate Professor, GSD, and GSD student Elsa MH Mäki.
