The First-Year Experience Office will host a virtual info session for prospective proctor applicants on Thursday, December 8, 5:30-6:30 pm (EST). This panel will include current proctors and Dwight Fee, Resident Dean of First-Year Students. If you are interested in attending the virtual info session on December 8, register to attend via ZoomThe webinar will be recorded and made available later for anyone who cannot attend.

A proctor is a residential staff member at Harvard College who lives in the first-year dorms and supports a group of students at the College as they navigate their first year. Typical proctor duties include community building, academic advising, and enforcement of College rules. To be eligible for this position, proctors must be affiliated with Harvard as graduate students or exempt-level employees. The proctor role is a rewarding professional development opportunity, and a great way to make a difference in the lives of some of the brightest and most interesting students in the world! As part of their role, proctors receive housing for the year and a meal plan (limited to when the dining halls are open).

To learn more about the proctor role and review the eligibility guidelines, visit the Dean of Students Office website.

Email the First-Year Experience Office at firstyear@fas.harvard.edu with any questions, or to request to be notified when the application launches in December for academic year 2023-24.
