Join us for a Pizza and Politics session featuring T.W. Shannon, former Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives, to discuss politics and public service.

About T.W. Shannon: 
T.W. Shannon is a businessman, father, statesman and former Bank CEO. In 2006, Shannon was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives at the age of 28, and became Oklahoma’s youngest and first African American Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 2013. 

 

Before becoming an elected official, he worked as a field representative for former Congressman J.C. Watts and Congressman Tom Cole, and served as the Chief Administrative Officer for the Chickasaw Nation—the most financially successful tribe in America. Shannon is an enrolled member of the tribe as well. 

Shannon led Chickasaw Community bank to unprecedented growth as CEO from 2017 to 2022, where the bank assets grew from 118 million to a half billion. 

 

Today, he is CEO of Shannon Strategies where he consults midsize businesses on growth and strategy. He currently serves as Commissioner of Transportation for the State of Oklahoma.
