About this Event
150 Western Ave., Allston, MA
https://confluxcollective.org/PHOTOXSYNTHESISA joint initiative between the Conflux Collective and the Harvard Undergraduate Clean Energy Group, PHOTOXSYNTHESIS is an art installation and agrivoltaic system that explores the intersection between clean energy, art, and technology. The agrivoltaic system consists of solar panels and a native plant garden, and it powers a mechanical flower garden. The relationship between the components of the exhibit is not only one-sided, as the flowers on top of the installation reflect light back onto the solar panels. By symbiotically combining solar panels with a mechanical and natural garden, we aim to encourage the Harvard and broader Boston community to examine the societal implications of power generation and consumption as well as to embrace innovation and sustainability.
