Presented in collaboration with the awareness and education teams at Yale and Harvard, the discussion will include case studies covering online shopping scams, instances of financial extortion targeting children, and business email compromise - highlighting how each of these threats can originate from something as simple as a compromised personal email account.
Speaker Bio: Alison Jimenez is an economist specializing in illicit finance topics. She utilizes her extensive background in the financial industry to serve as an expert witness on financial crime, fraud, and money laundering.
Alison's expertise bridges the gap between financial crime and cybercrime and has been sought out by federal agencies including DOJ, DOD, and OHS. The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Bloomberg, American Banker, and government agencies have cited Alison's research on financial crime.
