DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to ON DISPLAY HARVARD 2023 in commemoration of
International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3rd. ON DISPLA
Y HARVARD is in collaboration with ON DISPLAY GLOBAL\, a worldwide movemen
t installation and social justice initiative created by physically-integra
ted dance company Heidi Latsky Dance.\n \nThe Office for the Arts (OFA) Da
nce Program has been an ambassador of the work for the last five years\, p
resenting ON DISPLAY HARVARD at accessible locations across campus as well
as virtually each year\, building a community of partners and diverse per
formers to bring awareness of disability justice\, art\, and culture to Ha
rvard's campus and beyond.\n \nThis year\, in partnership with the Harvard
Art Museums\, ON DISPLAY HARVARD 2023 will be presented in the Calderwood
Courtyard\, free and open to the public. The work questions societal "nor
ms" about disability and celebrates difference as an affirmation of our hu
manity. Audience members are invited to wander through the installation at
their own pace and trajectory over the course of the hour and view each p
erformer up close.\n\nPerformers– a mix of Harvard students and communit
y members– will create sculptural compositions of their own making\, on
their own terms\, and which will evolve in real time. The installation all
ows performers and the public alike to explore what it means to see and be
seen\, in slowness and silence.\n \nThe work will also be viewed live aro
und the world via ON DISPLAY GLOBAL’S 24-hour Zoom and Livestream platfo
rm. Performers will wear unique art pieces created by students in Harvard'
s Graduate School of Design (GSD). \n\nON DISPLAY HARVARD 2023 is part of
Beyond Access: A Celebration of International Day of Persons with Disabili
ties at Harvard\, a project in partnership with (snobs._) and other studen
ts in the GSD. \n \nBeyond Access is a winner of a 2023 Culture Lab Innova
tion Fund (CLIF) grant through the Harvard Office of Equity\, Diversity\,
 Inclusion\, & Belonging. \n\n \n\nACCESSIBILITY\n\nFor In-Person Installat
