Join the Office for the Arts at Harvard and painter and print maker Robert Shetterly '69 for lunch at Cabot House. Shetterly is the creator of Americans Who Tell the Truth, a series of portraits and narratives of courageous citizens which has been traveling around the US since 2003. AWTT crafts collaborative educational and community experiences that illuminate the ongoing struggle to realize America’s democratic ideals and model the commitment to act for the common good.

Shetterly is visiting Harvard as part of Seeing Each Other, an exhibition on view at Cabot House March 3-7, 2025, featuring four of his portraits along side four paintings from the Harvard Foundation Portraiture Project. Who gets portraits? Who doesn’t? How do you paint a portrait? Get to know Shetterly and get some answers over lunch!
