Join Harvard Library Preservation Services for a unique, immersive learning experience, introducing Harvard students from diverse backgrounds to the field of library and archival preservation. During this full day workshop, you will tour the conservation lab at the Weissman Preservation Center, learn about the proper storage and handling of rare books, explore the fundamentals of various book structures and try your hand at elementary bookbinding and conservation treatment techniques. Lunch, refreshments, and supplies will be provided at no cost.     

This program is limited to 8 spots. Students will state their interest in rare books, libraries, and preservation. All Harvard students are welcome to apply.
