Asian American/Asian International Students Support Group is offered by Wenhui Yang, LMHC, as a confidential and safe space to connect with other Asian students during these challenging times. Even without a pandemic, academic and student life can be challenging! It can also be very rewarding. In this psychoeducational support group we will cover themes such as:

  • Experiencing homesickness and loneliness
  • Keeping up with social connections and making new friends
  • Cultivating confidence and communication skills in second language
  • Managing academic pressures
  • Dealing  with the stress that arises with visa status
  • Becoming familiar with stress management and other coping skills
  • Anti-Asian racism

I was once an international student myself and understand deeply the transition to academic life away from home and family of origin. I bring a culturally sensitive approach and welcome you to join this online support group with other Asian students.

This weekly psychoeducational support group is open to currently enrolled graduate and undergraduate students.

If you are interested, please email the group leader directly and include your Student ID number, which allows CAMHS to securely message the workshop/group zoom link.
