About this Event
Add to calendarAmerican Indian and First Nations (i.e., Indigenous) communities endure significant historical and contemporary stressors and traumas that threaten well-being. Simultaneously, Indigenous sources of strength including those embedded in culture and community encourage flourishing, vibrant children and families. This presentation will explore protective factors, resilience and risks influencing mental well-being based on findings from decades of community-based participatory research with Indigenous Peoples in the United States and Canada.
