Learn all about Humanities 10! 2,500 years of essential works, taught by ten professors. Course head Stephen Greenblatt and Head Teaching Fellow Matthew Ocheltree will talk about the course, how it works, how it fits into the ecosystem of the first-year experience and functions as a gateway to the study of the arts and humanities at Harvard, and how you can apply. We will introduce you to the books we’ll be reading this fall, which include works by Homer, Sophocles, Plato, Shakespeare, Descartes, Wollstonecraft, Mary Shelley, Douglass, Dickinson, Woolf, Morrison and Luiselli. Leaders of the Hum Alum Mentorship Program will share an undergraduate perspective on the course’s vibrant, multifaceted community and on its lasting benefits for students at all levels of the College and beyond. Any and all questions answered!

Applications will open on Monday, August 15th at 12pm ET and will be due online via Canvas on Sunday, August 21st at 12pm ET. See the Hum 10 Canvas website for full details.

Contact Head Teaching Fellow Matthew Ocheltree (ocheltree@g.harvard.edu) with any questions.
