About this Event
Join the HLS Library on Wednesday November 10 from 4pm-5pm in the Fishman Room, Langdell Hall 2 North for a HLS Library Ideas Salon on the Rerooted Archive, a documentation project that captures 100 years of Syrian-Armenian history, founded by Anoush Baghdassarian (HLS 3L) and Ani Schug. This event is free and open to Harvard ID holders. If you, or an event participant, require disability-related accommodations, please contact Accessibility Services at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Rerooted Archive’s mission is threefold: to preserve “a robust collection of testimonies, photos, and documents in order to preserve the language, customs, and culture of Syrian Armenians…[provide] vibrant primary sources for scholarly purposes to spur more research and understanding of this community…[and ensure] Armenian voices are heard in the justice efforts for Syria."
HLS Library Ideas Salons are moderated forums for current HLS students to share and discuss their work beyond the classroom.
