Interested in social entrepreneurship? Want to learn how to create and execute your own idea? Passionate about using innovation to change the world? Want to leverage business or high-growth nonprofits to do good?
If so, HCS’s Social Entrepreneurship Wintersession is perfect for you! Throughout this two week program (1/11 to 1/22), students will explore social entrepreneurship and pick up valuable skills for their future careers, learning all the key steps behind starting a social impact venture. Participants, working in teams of 4 and dedicating 15 hours/week, will apply human-centered design and entrepreneurship principles to build, prototype, and launch their ideas. At the end of the program, a panel of judges will evaluate program teams’ ideas and top ideas which will receive cash grants to further implement their ideas.
Funds will be provided to support teams with prototyping or hosting costs. The program also includes exciting socials to enable students to meet other prospective social entrepreneurs and speaker events with leaders in the social impact and entrepreneurship fields!
