NON-CREDIT COMMUNITY DANCE CLASSES

FALL 2024: September 9-November 23

The Office for the Arts (OFA) Dance Program is offering community classes throughout the Fall 2024 semester for all levels and abilities. Classes are in a broad range of movement styles and dance traditions including Ballet, Conditioning, Contemporary, Bharatanatyam, Embodiment Practices, Hip-Hop, Freestyle Concepts, Kathak, Soca Fusion, and West African.

All classes are taught by the OFA Dance Program's exceptional teaching artists, many classes also feature live musical accompaniment, who create a kind, joyful, and inclusive environment.

Classes are offered via a 10-week series, with drop-in options available for most. We encourage enrolling for the full series to experience the breadth, engagement, and community that each class offers. All participants must register online whether they enroll in the full series or drop-in.

WHO CAN TAKE NON-CREDIT CLASSES?

Classes are open to the Harvard community, which includes Harvard students, faculty, staff, family affiliates, and alumni, as well as current MIT affiliates.

FREE FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS!

Accessibility:

All classes are taught specifically to be inclusive of people with a range of abilities. A virtual option is provided for home access for most of our class offerings. The Dance Center’s main floor – housing Studio 1 and two all-gender restrooms – is wheelchair accessible. If you use a wheelchair and would like to participate in a class being held in Studio 2 (lower level), please contact us for accommodations. Additionally, if you anticipate needing any other type of access to participate, whether in person or virtually, please email dance@fas.harvard.edu. We welcome a conversation with you!
