DESCRIPTION:The Harvard Undergraduate Stand Up Comics Society is proud to c
 ollaborate with the Office of Student Engagement to bring hilarious\, natio
 nally-renowned headliner Ian Karmel to the Cambridge Queen's Head Pub along
 side several Harvard comedians including Luke Metzidakis and Ari Desai. \n\
 nIan Karmel is an Emmy award winning LA-based stand-up comedian\, actor\, a
 nd writer originally from Portland\, Oregon. Ian was head writer for the Em
 my award winning The Late Late Show with James Corden\, and was one of the 
 founding writers in the show’s 2015 re-creation. Previously\, he was a staf
 f writer and round table regular on E!’s Chelsea Lately. Ian’s debut hour-l
 ong stand up special\, Comfort Beyond God’s Foresight\, was recently releas
 ed by 800 Pound Gorilla and is now available to stream.\n\nHis stand-up has
  been featured on Conan\, The Late Late Show\, Comedy Central\, Netflix’s T
 he Comedy Line Up: Part 1\, and as Just for Laughs New Face in 2013. His de
 but comedy album\, 9.2 on Pitchfork\, was released in 2015. Ian hosts the w
 eekly podcast All Fantasy Everything\, from Headgum studios. Featured on ma
 ny best of lists\, it’s a lighthearted show where funny people and experts 
 come together to fantasy draft pop culture.\n\nHometown hero\, Ian played a
 n instrumental role in Portland’s comedy renaissance and was voted Portland
 ’s Funniest Person in their inaugural contest. He is also beloved for his a
 ppearances on IFC’s Portlandia\, the Blazers wrap-up show Talkin’ Ball\, an
 d long running weekly column in the Portland Mercury\, Everything as Fuck. 
 With roots in improv and theatre\, Ian’s training includes The Groundlings 
 and the Upright Citizens Brigade.\n\nIan currently tours as much as possibl
 e and regularly performs around Los Angeles. \n\nThis show is completely fr
 ee with HUID and boasts laughs\, talented performers\, free food\, and drin
 k. \n\nHUSUCS is producing a new series of comedy shows that blend Harvard 
 student comedians with nationally celebrated comedic talents. This is unlik
 e any other comedy show on campus. We cannot wait to see you all in the Que
 en's Head under Annenberg Hall on February 19th for a night of spectacular 
 stand-up comedy.
