The Harvard College Steelpan Ensemble was founded in September 2024 by Adam Bartholomew ’26 and Elizabeth Bennett ’26 with the goal of sharing the beauty and vibrancy of the steelpan—Trinidad and Tobago’s national instrument—with the Harvard community and beyond. Open to students of all musical backgrounds and levels, the ensemble requires no audition, creating an inclusive space where anyone can experience the joy of making music together. The group performs a wide-ranging repertoire that highlights the steelpan’s versatility, from traditional calypso and soca to pop, jazz, and classical styles.
