About this Event
Join for a half-day mindfulness retreat with the Center for Wellness and Health Promotion. All are welcome, no experience necessary! Please fill out the form to register. Details are below, and please email Nina (nbryce@huhs.harvard.edu) if you have any questions or concerns.
When: Sunday, October 17th, 1pm-5pm
Where: Grays Hall Lower Level (enter through basement door on the south of the building closest to Harvard Square)
What: We’ll explore mindfulness through periods of silent sitting and walking meditation, somatic awareness, yoga and other mindful movement, and time for reflection. Practices will include some guided instruction as well as opportunities to share and connect as a group. This retreat will focus on building habits of mind and body that we can carry over from formal practice into our everyday routines, learning to be more fully present for all the moments of our lives.
Why: Mindfulness helps us attend to our present moment experience with non-judgmental openness and curiosity. This awareness allows us to slow down, explore our own experience, feel more at home within our bodies, and connect more deeply with ourselves and one another.
Cost: Free! :-)
