Rakesh Khurana is the Danoff Dean of Harvard College, a professor of sociology and organizational behavior, and holds the Marvin Bower Professorship of Leadership Development at Harvard Business School. He earned his B.S. from Cornell University and a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Harvard. Dean Khurana's career began with a founding role at Cambridge Technology Partners. His research delves into the sociology of leadership and management, focusing on the CEO labor market and the evolution of American business schools. His significant works include "Searching for a Corporate Savior" and "From Higher Aims to Hired Hands," with the latter earning the Max Weber Book Award and the Best Professional/Scholarly Publishing Book Award. He is instrumental in promoting leadership studies as a multidisciplinary academic field and is a key contributor to international leadership and management discussions. Recognized as one of the world's leading management thinkers, Dean Khurana's expertise is frequently sought in major media and in advisory roles for corporate governance and executive development.
