About this Event
20 Quincy St. Cambridge, MA 02138
The Uncommon Fare program is designed to give first-year students a chance to meet outstanding members of the Harvard community, to meet one another, and to see what is truly special about the Harvard. These dinners feature guests who contribute to core parts of the academic and student life at Harvard College.
Join us for dinner with Professor Danielle Allen. Allen is James Bryant Conant University Professor at Harvard and Director of the Allen Lab for Democracy Renovation at the Kennedy School's Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation. She is known for her work on political philosophy, ethics, public policy, and as an advocate for democracy. Beyond Harvard, Allen founded and leads Partners In Democracy, where she advocates for democracy reform to create greater voice and access in our democracy, and drive progress towards a new social contract that serves and includes us all.
Applications for this event are open until 11:59 PM on Sunday, September 29, 2024, and are limited to students in the Class of 2028. Ten Harvard College first-year students will be selected to attend each dinner, and students must submit an application to be considered.
