About this Event
5 Harvard Yard, Cambridge, MA 02138
Join the Harvard Foundation and the Pluralism Project for a film screening and discussion on how to foster religious pluralism in the Harvard community.
Two decades ago, a group of visionaries had the bold idea to move their congregations closer together and create an Abrahamic neighborhood on a vacant plot of land in Omaha, Nebraska. The Tri-Faith Initiative, featured in the award-winning 40-minute documentary, "Abraham's Bridge," shows the power that comes with meeting the challenge of our time - crossing the divides that fragment our world.
This event marks the Harvard premiere of this documentary produced by the Pluralism Project at Harvard University. "Abraham's Bridge" has been featured in four film festivals, and been selected as a recipient of the national Wilbur Award, from the Religion Communicators Council. The film screening will be followed by a discussion with Senior Director of the Harvard Foundation for Intercultural and Race Relations Habiba Braimah, Ph.D., and Comparative Religion and Indian Studies Professor and Founding Director of the Pluralism Project, Diana Eck, Ph.D.
