About this Event
Add to calendarIt's Earth Week! Make a difference by eating plant-rich food. Did you know Harvard signed the Coolfood Pledge a few years ago? During this 30-minute presentation, learn more about Coolfood, an initiative of the World Resources Institute (WRI), with guest speaker, Clara Cho, as she breaks down the climate impact of food.
According to WRI, "food production is a significant contributor to climate change, accounting for a quarter of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Some foods generate more greenhouse gas emissions than others. Food that comes from animals make up two-thirds of all agricultural GHG emissions and use more than three-quarters of agricultural land. Plant-based foods generally have a much lower environmental impact."
By simply changing what we eat, we can make a difference to our climate. Coolfood (coolfood.org) helps organizations reduce the climate impact of their food through shifting towards more plant-rich diets. Climate action has never been so simple and delicious.
This event is free and open to all. Registration is required.
