About this Event
It’s time to decolonize your play reading list! Every month, TDM’s BIPOC Play Discussion Group meets to discuss plays by Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Color playwrights, whose works are all too often left off of the syllabi at institutions of higher education. The February play will be A Nice Indian Boy by Madhuri Shekar.
Open to current Harvard students, staff, and faculty.
Zoom links will be sent out closer to the event date.
ABOUT A NICE INDIAN BOY
Naveen Gavaskar just wants a traditional Hindu marriage to a nice Indian... boy. While his parents are trying to wrap their heads around this strange idea, his older sister returns home and drops a bombshell of her own. A comedy about love and marriage today- gay or straight, arranged or not.
Copies of the script are available on the New Play Exchange website. HOLLIS provides free access to the New Play Exchange script database with your HarvardKey.
