The event will include a light lunch, and registration is required for both in-person and Zoom attendance.
Pham's book explores Vietnam as a crossroads of empires, introducing Vietnamese political thought to global political theory. It examines the debates among six influential Vietnamese figures during colonial times, focusing on moral education, ethics, and how Vietnam should respond to Western and Confucian influences. Their discussions on national dignity and shame offer insights into decolonization, moral education, and cross-cultural dialogue that resonate beyond Vietnam.
