Welcome to the Office for the Arts and Common Spaces Drag 101 Workshop, where creativity, expression and confidence converge! This event is an inclusive space where students can explore the captivating world of drag performance, learn essential techniques and embrace the art of self-expression. You will learn:

  • Drag Persona Development: Unleash your imagination and create your own drag persona. Whether you're experimenting with makeup, fashion or persona names, this segment will guide you through the process of crafting a unique character that reflects your inner self.
  • Makeup and Styling: Learn the transformative power of makeup and styling techniques from a professional drag performer. From contouring to creating dramatic eye looks, discover how to elevate your features and express your personality through makeup artistry.
  • Performance Skills: Step into the spotlight and unleash your inner diva! This performance segment will cover stage presence, movement, lip-syncing and other essential skills to captivate your audience and command the stage with confidence.
  • Q&A Session: Have burning questions about drag culture, performance tips or navigating the drag community? An experienced queen will answer inquiries and provide valuable insights.

Drag 101 is hosted by drag queen and performing artist Lilly Rose Valore (she/her).
