This is the first film in our series of disability-themed movies as part of FY22's President's Administrative Innovation Fund (PAIF). You can find more detail on the project here: https://innovationfund.evp.harvard.edu/disability-perspectives-film-series

The first movie is "CODA", currently streaming on Apple TV and starring Marlee Matlin and Emilia Jones. "As a child of deaf adults (called a CODA), Ruby is the only hearing person in her home. When she discovers a passion for singing, Ruby must choose between family obligations and her dreams. Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award winner at the Sundance Film Festival".

Join us to view this fabulous movie and then stay for an interactive and immersive discussion about disability barriers, perceptions, and next steps towards inclusivity in our own community.

You must register with a valid Harvard email address to receive a link to view the film. Once registered, you will receive an additional calendar invitation for the Zoom discussion.

The film will be shown using both closed captioning and audio descriptions to allow for an inclusive viewing experience. However, if you prefer to watch the film on your own personal device or in a different language or format, you can access the film through Apple TV. If you don't have an account, Apple TV is also offering a 7-day free trial.

If you have any questions about the accessibility provided or need additional accommodations to participate in either the movie screening or the Zoom chat, please email dorian_meyette@harvard.edu or call (617) 496-3720.
