Join Ceramics Program 2020-22 Artist in Residence Deighton Abrams for a day of showcasing both functional pottery and expressive sculptural techniques. Through play and focused research, Deighton will also lead discussions that explore the complexities of working as a creative during the pandemic. With his exhibition in Gallery 224 as reference, Abrams will demonstrate some of the mixed media and techniques used to create his installation and provide an overview of the ceramic techniques employed. Students will be invited to work with clay in the afternoon to try their hand at what has been demonstrated on a small scale.
