About this Event
Residential life is an integral part of the Harvard undergraduate student experience, and the Disability Access Office (DAO) is here to help reduce or remove environmental barriers that significantly limit your access and inclusion in on-campus housing. We work with the College Housing Office on accommodation requests and review each set of needs on a case-by-case basis. If you have never requested housing accommodations before, or wish to request a change to your current housing accommodation eligibility, please contact DAO by the deadline of Friday, January 31, 2025.
Housing accommodations reduce or remove barriers when an aspect of the housing environment is inaccessible. Housing preferences, including preferred locations, are not criteria for determining reasonable accommodations. Requests for proximity to certain campus locations (such as the Yard) are considered in the context of available transportation options, such as the ADA-accessible Harvard Shuttle busses. DAO does not guarantee implementation of approved accommodations for Fall semester if housing requests are made after the January 31st deadline.
If you have questions about the application process, please drop by our DAO Virtual Office Hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 AM– 12:00 PM, or email dao@fas.harvard.edu. General information and documentation guidelines can be found on the DAO website.
