The OFA Dance Program is hosting another Dance Medicine Clinic this spring through an ongoing partnership with Dr. Nicole Katz!
Dr. Katz is a Sports Medicine Fellow at Mass General Brigham/Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital/Harvard Medical School—and a former dancer who loves working with dancers of all levels and genres.
Join us for the first 30-minutes for a meet and greet where Dr. Katz will share her journey from dance to medicine, her approach to caring for dancers, and some of the most recent research in the field right now. This is also a chance to ask all your general dance medicine questions!
After the meet and greet, we will hold a Dance Medicine Clinic which will consist of free, private 20-minute appointments with Dr. Katz to discuss any injury concern.
Each visit includes an evaluation and conversation about next steps. If imaging (like an X-ray or MRI) is needed, Dr. Katz will help arrange an expedited formal clinic appointment with her or another Mass General Brigham Dance Medicine physician at a nearby clinic location. Dr. Katz is also able to coordinate referrals to other specialists such as a dance physical therapist, dance nutritionist, or sports psychologist.
All discussions are confidential. The goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free space to support dancer health.
Sign up to attend the meet and greet and/or a 20-minute private appointment!
This offering is for Harvard students only; appointments slots are limited and priority will be given to Harvard Undergraduates on a first-come; first-served basis.
All students are welcome to just attend the meet and greet even if they don’t sign up for an appointment.
