BlackCAST, in partnership with the Office for the Arts at Harvard, presents Lynn Nottage's Sweat, winner of the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

Set in one of the poorest cities in America, Reading, Pennsylvania, SWEATby Lynn Nottage tells the story of a group of friends who have spent their lives sharing drinks, secrets, and laughs while working together on the factory floor. But when layoffs and picket lines begin to chip away at their trust and financial devastation looms nearer, the friends find themselves pitted against each other in a heart-wrenching fight to stay afloat. Based on Nottage’s extensive research and interviews with residents of Reading, SWEAT exposes the impact of global capitalism on union workers in America's rust belt.
