You're invited to contribute to an important digital humanities project while immersing yourself in the history of African American educators and learning Wikidata skills. The Black Teacher Archive (BTA) is a digital collection centralizing materials created by professional organizations of African American educators during Jim Crow segregation. This event is open to all Harvard affiliates. No experience with Wikidata required—we will provide training, support, and refreshments.

Through a Wikidata "edit-a-thon", we will improve information about individual educators and their relationships with Colored Teachers Associations, HBCUs, the Divine Nine, religious institutions, and political organizations like the NAACP and Urban League.

Breakfast will be provided. Attendance is capped at 50 people, so please register early at bit.ly/bta-wiki
