About this Event
Feeling overwhelmed?
With so much going on in academic life and in the world, it's crucial to prioritize your well-being! Join our DBT-based skills workshop to learn and practice effective stress management tools.
We’ll cover practical mindfulness techniques, strategies for identifying and communicating your needs, and other essential methods to help you achieve balance in your life. This group teaches proven strategies to manage stress and boost your well-being throughout the semester and beyond.
Don’t miss this opportunity to take charge of your mental health!
What is DBT?
DBT stands for Dialectical Behavior Therapy, an evidence-based approach shown in clinical studies to alleviate symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression, and thoughts of self-harm. This workshop series is an introductory psychoeducational program and is not a replacement for mental health treatment. You will gain foundational coping skills that are invaluable for adjusting to the demands and stress of academic life. The five rotating sessions will focus on Everyday Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness, and Self-Care Planning.
Open to all registered Harvard students (undergrad, graduate) who have paid the 2024-2025 Student Health Fee.
Join for one session or attend as many workshops as you need.
