Adefemi Akinsanya will be hosting a talk about the untapped revenue streams in international journalism and how to break into the industry. The interactive session* will include stories from her career and allow participants to use their voice in all its forms. We will provide pizza. Space is limited, so please RSVP.

Adefemi Akinsanya is a 2023 fellow at The Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard. She is the international correspondent and an anchor for Arise News in Lagos, Nigeria. She has covered the role of race during the inital outbreak of the war in Ukraine, police brutality, the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, crisis management, business and economic development. She previously worked as a producer and reporter for Al Jazeera English, TRT World and Reuters. At Harvard, Akinsanya is studying how deteriorating media freedom in Nigeria is connected to the protests against police violence and is working on building a news management platform to expand journalism jobs and help reporters tell the stories of marginalized communities.
