About this Event
The micro-centric research community at Harvard is thriving! Once a month, Harvard students, postdocs, staff, & faculty gather to share, discuss, and productively critique the latest and greatest work-in-progress and evolving stories from the many labs around campus. At each Chalk Talk, a presenter leads an informal seminar over lunch with chalk and a board as the only visual aid.
The speaker this week is Hemanoel Passarelli: From Genes to Ecology: Uncovering the Evolutionary Secrets of Pangenomes
Pangenome analysis has become a vital tool to understand bacterial diversity. In this Chalk Talk, we will discuss how we can interpret a pangenome from an ecological perspective to explore the evolution of microorganisms.
Lunch is provided, and the Chalk Talk is open to all Harvard community members. Registration for a boxed lunch is required and open until noon the day before.
