Exploring Fields of Study (EFoS) offers first-year students the opportunity to explore concentrations and secondary fields during the second semester of your first year through panels, office hours, and events specially designed for pre-concentrators. While you do not need to declare a concentration until late October of your sophomore year, you are required to report at least one advising conversation in my.harvard after meeting with a concentration advisor or attending a Fields of Study Session by Monday, April 27, 2026.

Note: The Resources tab has important related links, the two-week schedule, and resources to learn more about concentrations and secondary fields. Keep checking the calendar as events will be added throughout the weeks. Because the default calendar view only shows events occurring within the next 30 days, use “Filters” to select a future date range.
